History

History of the C.S. Lewis Society of Madison. Since 2010

"My admiration for C.S. Lewis began in 1963 when I was 10 years old, and my parents presented me with The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Many years later in the 1990's, I began to read his other other works. I found his respect for the Middle Ages and his incisive critique of modernity in his fiction and non-fiction carried as much truth and needed as many readers as the day they were written. After some years of procrastination, I started the C.S. Lewis Society of Madison with help from good friends. Our first meeting was in December, 2010."
